Welcome to Billions and billions

Welcome to Billions and billions. My name is Mike and I am happy to bring to you a website that will both showcase some of the astrophotography I have captured over the last several years. But more than just pictures, I also want to catalog each object and give a detailed description of each one. For the images: I am not a very good astrophotographer. These images are not going to wow. They are black and white with no post processing, but they are mine. I will have links to pretty pictures for each deep sky entry so everyone can see how amazing they truly are.

For the prose: I will not lie, I am using AI to help me generate most of the written word but I always fact check before posting and sometimes make stylistic edits. But there is a twist. I have instructed ChatGPT to write in the voice of Carl Sagan. I am sure this is not legal but hey, who's actually going to view this site. I plan to make no money from this nor do I want to. It should also be known that I am a huge fan of Mr. Sagan and admired his work and value to the scientific community. Aside from being a brilliant astronomer, Carl Sagan was a great teacher by which his legacy has helped, and still helps, to inspire and ignite the curiosity about this amazing cosmos we happen to inhabit.
